An absolute gem. A little piece of France in the city centre. Everything was outstanding from the warm and friendly service to the exceptional, authentic French cuisine. The house red was delicious and complemented our meals of venison and lamb perfectly. I loved being able to use my French too. I will definitely be back.

A lovely, welcoming restaurant. Managed by experienced French staff. The food quality and timing is perfect. The menu is varied although the wine list is limited. However, the wines chosen fit well with the menu.

Such a lovely little restaurant. Very authentic French food, served and tastes just like when your eating in France! We went for our first wedding anniversary because we got married in France and it didn't disappoint.

Unexpectedly amazing and a memory we will hold onto for a very long time. Everything about French Living Restaurant, Nottingham is extraordinary and the family who have always ran the place are beyond hospitable. We perused the family/restaurant history album found atop a cabinet next to our table where we saw Pierre (the owners son who is there working hard decades after his picture was captured), other members of the French Living family and a handful of Stephane the Owner/Founder. The dishes served at French Living are astonishingly delicious. We finished our dinner with a Crème Brulee especially fantastic. If you are a living person who eats food, French Living in Nottingham will be one of the best culinary decisions you will ever make.

My favourite restaurant in Nottingham, and the only authentic French restaurant in Nottingham. One of the only places you can find Perrier, Orangina and Ricard, amongst others. Food is really food, always, whether you dine à la carte or have the lunch/ pre theatre menu. Good selection of less common wines that are always good and good value for money. Really friendly people and great vibes too. Had venison last time and it was absolutely amazing! Starter and desert were great too. I really wish I had more time so I could come more often...

Beautiful cosy place with a very french location and atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a multitude of french messages and pictures. The menu is quite simple and is changing once in a while. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. The food is good and there are beautiful layers of flavours. The deserts are absolutely delicious. I recommend it.

One of the best places to eat in Notts, I had a really lovely experience with my close friend who happens to be French (I recommended we go here though and I'm so glad I did!). The food was cooked really well - lovely starters, amazing main course and dessert was wonderful! Reasonably priced for what you order too! The drinks especially the strawberry lemonade cordial was incredible! Great service with very polite staff and lovely atmosphere too! I would 110% come back again! I also love how it is so easy to book a table too! (I booked last minute last Thursday and I easily got a table for me and my friend). Lots of love for this place. Thank you for existing! Keep being awesome! <3 Below I put £60-£70 per person, but it was a gift to my close friend so I paid it all (it wasn't that much for one person) and we had a full course meal with extra chips and drinks because why not if the food and drinks are this amazing 😂👍🏻

I took my partner on a date night, and just typed into google ‘romantic places to eat’. French living was high on the list, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, some of the best food we’ve eaten out in ages! The staff were attentive and very polite. It was a great experience and very romantic. We will definitely be back again. Thank you.
